Ziplining began in the ’70s in Costa Rica when rainforest researchers did not want to disturb the vast wildlife that exists on the ground of the forest.\u00a0 They built platforms and attached cables to trees so that they could move around the forest with the smallest footprint possible.\u00a0 Although researching in the rainforest is serious business, it’s hard not to smile when you are flying through the treetops like a bird.<\/p>\n

This same intention is applied to ziplining tourism today.\u00a0 It is one of the best ways to tour a part of the world without leaving anything permanent behind.
